Schlossgut Diel de Diel Trocken 2012

$35.50

Tasting Notes: Apple and sweet corn mingled with brightly juicy lime point strongly toward the wine’s share of Pinot Blanc, and there is even a bit of that grape’s natural creaminess on the palate. The finish is generously juicy, and subtle suggestions of apple seeds and stone add interest.

Region: Dorsheim, Germany

Alcohol: 12.5%

Description

This exceptional dry white wine was first created in 1994 for the Business Class of Lufthansa and has now become the distinctive “business card” of Schlossgut Diel. It perfectly combines the difference in characters of the grape varieties involved in this special cuvée: while the Pinot Gris shows abundance and spice and the Pinot Blanc plays the elegant part, the Riesling provides the invigorating freshness. A wonderfully refreshing wine, which gives a lot of pleasure while drinking.
